We are currently looking for an administrative assistant in a real estate/housing dept. Our company manages 28 buildings total. Our division manages the maintenance of 15 of these buildings. This division manages a staff of 18 members in the field at the various sites. We interact with a tenancy of approximately 400 people continually. The division also monitors the expenses and budgets yearly for the buildings it`s responsible. Besides attending to the maintenance issues of the building, this division also accepts application for the rentals of all the company`s vacant apartments except for the senior housing. This division also rents the commercial spaces for the entire organization.
We are looking for an individual with: a strong character, an ability to set daily goals and complete them accordingly, an ability to remain calm under a stressful/ fast paced environment, an ability to maintain a professional atmosphere and maintain a business ethic that represents the company positively.
Skills needed for this job: decent typing speed, knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word/Office, familiarity with the internet and marketing, good communication/interpersonal skills, good office organization skills.
Skills preferred for this position: a college degree, previous real estate management experience (tax credit buildings/low/moderate income), an ability to speak Spanish/Japanese, familiarity the organization and creation of tenant portfolio.
